  Well guess again. They have a duty of care to their customers, a legal obligation to conduct themselves responsibly and should they fail to satisfactorily live up to that responsibility they may open themselves up to a negligence lawsuit!

  They run the pharmacy with minimal stock on hand. An elderly family member has a heart condition and needed Nitroglycerin Transdermal Patchs. She has to put one on when she gets chest pains, but they were out of stock and so was the only other chemist in town who just happens to be owned by them too, and the nearest town is 35km away.

  Also, in the past they have told my 78 year old relative that they could no longer have their delivery person pick up her prescriptions from her (which she paid a fee for) and that she would have to drop them into the store if she wanted them filled, because the delivery people they had at the time didn't want any more work.

  They think that because they have a monopoly in town they can run the business any way they want and if you don't like it too bad.

  Why are they allowing themselves to run out of such critical and essential medicines, especially since it has a long shelf life. This is not the first time this sort of thing has happened.
